I had a ton of unused Geek Points at ThiunkGeek, so I splurged on buy 2 shirts get 1 free. Ordered the Neurodiversity one, the "I <3 <3 Doctor Who" one (been coveting that since they made them with the diamond logo), and the Time Traveler Essentials one, went with UPS ground shipping since UPS has been super reliable at my new place. It's been a long time since I ordered from ThinkGeek - early December! A splurge, yeah, but it's clothing and therefore practical :)
I have a new go-to place for Chinese delivery. Austin peeps, it's called Szechuan House and they're teamed up with Eat24Hours, so web-ordering is a breeze and I almost always have a coupon. They show up promptly, have tasty food, and have tossed in extra eggrolls the last couple times I ordered from them, plus their minimum order is less than their rivals and their delivery charge is a titch lower. The tofu with dry mushroom lunch special is one of the good things in this world.
Today I
made a phone call to Popeye's asking their hours
playfully teased three businesses I regularly order delivery from on Twitter to court my business for the day (and got playful responses from two of them!)
emailed one of the already mentioned businesses to ask if they'd add a restaurant or two to the ones they deliver from, and got an enthusiastic response within minutes (Eat24, y'all rock)
did laundry
put all my dirty dishes in the dishwasher
fixed more iced tea
I think that's pretty good, for me.
