arcaneblades was able to sneak away from a family visit to Dallas to come see me yesterday. It's the first time I've socialized with someone in months, and the most out & about I've been in months too. We had chicken fried steak at Hoover's, made some real finds at the 20% off sale at Half Price Books, browsed trinkets at Toy Joy, savored a bowl of raspberry shisha at Yahala, and she took me to Wal-Mart to get groceries. Then we watched the commentary track of the blu-ray of The Last Unicorn before she had to go.

It was wonderful spending time with a friend who cares about me. Someone who thinks I have a future. So why do I feel more than ever this morning that I'm too far gone to save?
