[profile] goddessgoddess was awesome and took me and stayed with me. The woman doing the assessment wanted me to check in inpatient, which I was not willing to do. She was urging me to join an intensive outpatient program, which I would have been a lot more open to if I hadn't felt so pressured. I did get the number of a sliding-scale place. I flat out don't feel like I am in a place to handle committing to dealing with transportation hassles (her lack of info on transportation options wasn't reassuring) and hours of exposure to people for 4 or 5 days a week for over a month right now. I'm still shaken from my three days in the hospital for bronchitis, and dealing with bussing somewhere in the winter does not mix well with that.

So, I ordered some sushi via GrubHub, which just came, and I am gonna give myself some self-soothing and relaxation time, and then look into that sliding scale clinic with an eye towards a less overwhelming therapy thing, because sheesh, I need a happy medium!

*glomp* Good for you for handling this, and setting boundaries and working on sorting out treatment options that work for you where you are, and I don't just mean physically. And also for taking care of yourself when you have been sick (or any time, really). I hope the sliding scale clinic is of the awesome!
