Anxiety levels through the roof. I seriously need to do some grocery shopping but I can't seem to make myself leave the house. The assessment at the psych hospital seems to have made things worse. I'm freaked out and tense and can't seem to clear my head or accomplish anything.

Your experience at the psych hospital does not sound in the least pleasant, so I can see why there would be upset responses.
