I did the dutiful thing and sent my mom an e-card for Mother's Day. She actually emailed me back promptly and we chatted a little and she said that I could "always call or write to vent".
So as much as a test as anything else, I told her about the galactorrhea and how distressing it was. This is what she said:
Because my feelings don't matter. The fact that I was upset didn't matter. All that mattered was for me to SHUT UP AND LISTEN TO AUTHORITY. Doctor knows best, so be obedient and do as you're told. Don't bother to educate yourself, you'll never be able to know what the DOCTOR knows. Thhe fifteen minutes every three months your doctor sees you gives him all the information he needs to be FUCKING GOD.
I don't know why I even try to talk to her.

I am sorry to hear that your medications are giving you so much trouble. Try and be patient with the doctor (no pun intended) because he or she is the only one that can straighten things out.
Be persistent to get things sorted out.
