I wasn't expecting it, but I let a nice bloke from OKCupid talk me into coming out for the evening. He drives a motorcycle, and the idea of riding on one before the big 4-0 tipped the balance (he already seemed pleasant and into good things).
We went to Mr. Tramps for sandwiches (I had a BLT, he had a burger, neither of us had booze), Epoch for coffee and pie, and I was able to find a hookah lounge that was open til 3 so we went there and had some lovely lemon-mint shisha. Finished up the evening by loading a heap of stuff onto a thumbdrive for him, and giving him one of my spare copies of AMERICAN GODS and a few imps of BPAL for his wife (he's poly, I'm not being "teh other woman"). No grief was given at me not being interested in more than a little hugging and kissing, and it was very nice hugging and kissing.
And riding on a motorcycle is FUN. If nothing else comes of tonight, I am glad I got to try that.
