So I gave in and got Netflix (because I wanna watch Arrested Development and House of Cards) and I'm giving Supernatural another shot. Watching with a friend who is also new to it, although we both know a fair bit by fannish osmosis. We're about four eps in.

I was supposed to go grocery shopping with my caseworker today but he got called in for an emergency staff meeting at literally the last moment. Grrrr. I was fretting and pacing and psyching myself up all day for that (appointment was at 3pm, cats were pestering me at 7 am and I was vertical by 9) and I have nothing to show for it. And I get to psych myself up for dealing with my caseworker and the store all over again in a week.

Fun mail at least, some Sally Hansen Salon Effects I got off eBay: Prep's Cool (black and silver argyle), Sweet Tart-An (black and hot pink argyle), Tribal It On (black and whitegeometric print), and Check It Out (black and white checkerboard) for the curious. I am loving these things. My nails are short enough that I get two manicures out of a box and I can get them for half retail on Amazon, which works out to $2.50 for a week or so of nifty print nails. It's the only makeup I wear, I don't even own a single lipstick. But I look at my hands all the time, so as a touch of vanity this meets my needs just fine.

The nails sound awesome!!!

Good luck with SPN, and with your caseworker!

Yeah, I think the dudebro snark would be mandatory; it's never been a fandom in which I've had the desire to get involved. (I love me some hot dudes as much as the next androsexual, but I like them best when they are interspersed with awesome ladies. Which means I am pretty much NOT SPN's intended audience, lol.)

Yeah--- and, frankly, even if Sam and/or Dean were Sammi and/or Deanna, I think SPN would scare the crap out of me (not trigger, but just, I don't do horror at ALL well).

Ugh, sorry that something potentially fun is also potentially triggery, but VERY SMART CALL giving it a pass! And good luck finding a new fandom!
