Everything keeps getting harder. Even ordering delivery stresses me out these days, although I did just place an order with Austin Couch Potato and should have ice cream sandwiches and frozen meat pies on my doorstep within the hour.
My new fannish obsession is Welcome to Night Vale. It's all over my Tumblr but I haven't made any journal posts about it yet. But I love it to death and it is my main source of comfort. For those of you who haven't discovered it yet, it's a sort of radio play-like podcast set in a desert town where eldritch and creepy happenings are the norm. It's got a canonical queer pairing, some badass female characters (Tamika Flynn and Intern Dana are my role models, yo), and because it is a podcast we don't know what most of the characters look like so there are all these different headcanons and some really nifty fanart. I was up until like 2 am reading fanfic last night and it was a good thing.
I have to go to the doctor tomorrow. I'm still kind of traumatized from last time when I went all the way there and waited for almost an hour before being sent home unseen. I'm scared.

I also just love that some of the fandom has decided Cecil is a person of color. My personal headcanon is that he's Native American, but I'll take pretty much any fic that has him as a person of color. The ones where he HAS to be a white guy just because a white guy voices him (or, worse, the author who said he "has a white voice and is voiced by a white guy", so clearly meant that, somehow, his actual voice is white--I don't know if it's because of a lack of accent or specific way of speaking or what, but they don't seem to realize that, in the US, most radio personalities have a generic accent...) bother me.

omgomgomg that is AMAZING. You know, there are subsets of this fandom I REALLY LOVE. Like any fandom in that way, I suppose, but it's more than I feel for, say, Person of Interest right now.

I might have read a fic with Anxiety Disorder!Carlos, but I'm not 100% on that. I know I've read some good ones that deviate from the TAB cis dude paradigm, which is always awesome.

That is very true. Though it's hard to find art that depicts Cecil as I picture him. Fic is somewhat better, until they mention, say, his blonde hair.

Danny Pudi is another occasional headcast for Cecil, but I'd have to put it out of my head if I was writing fic or there'd be bound to be some Abed contamination.

I honestly don't go on Tumblr much--I literally lose days if I do--so I don't know the PoC!Cecil Tumblrs. But yeah, when I have looked, he's mostly been blonde and blue-eyed. Pretty much his nose is the biggest thing that varies (other than extrahuman features, I mean).
