I haven't had any IRL contact with people today, it was just in the dream. I don't remember if the driver was someone I knew in waking life... they drove into a lake, and I wasn't seriously injured but I remember my face hurt, and the driver acting like I was a spoiled brat for being upset.
It's Housing Authority megastress time... inspection on the 19th, interview on the 26th. Right now I am focusing on surviving that. MHMR was really useless to me, I tearfully told the caseworker I didn't feel capable of taking care of myself and she ignored it.
When I was 14, my mom's Datsun got t-boned by a Pinto on the passenger side. It was low enough speed that I wasn't hurt, but it was still RIGHT THERE. When the police showed up, the cop chatted to me (amusingly, striking up conversation about the Doctor Who pin I was wearing) and my mom was FURIOUS. It wasn't until fairly recently that I realized that the cop was probably trying to make sure I wasn't, y'know, traumatized from the car-totalling wreck less than an arm's length from me.
Yeah. Oh, yeah. Good on the cop for giving you space to communicate whatever was going on with you about a potentially traumatizing experience, FAIL on your mom's part. And you know that, and that is +++++++++++++++ 198203123918209 to you.
