Wore a green scarf with a knotwork Lilla Rose clip to go to Wheatsville to get a loaf of soda bread and some corned beef and cabbage from their hot bar. I was hoping they'd have hamantaschen, but no dice.

I had a friend who was a baker at Wheatsville, and she made the hamantaschen. She moved back home to Madison though. 😫

Did she make the delicious apple challah they had the past couple of Rosh Hashanas too? I will be watching their Instagram for mention of hamantaschen!

Central Market might have them, but they're not close enough to a bus stop for me to go on spec until I feel a bit better, still recovering from a few weeks ago - this is the first time I have left my house in like 3 weeks!

No, I think she moved away three or four years ago. I'm glad they hired another baker savvy with Jewish baked goods!

They had hamantaschen last year, so that's a good sign. I messaged them on Facebook to ask if they'd have them this year, I will let you know when/if/what I hear :)

They had a marvelous Hanukkah display this past year, and even kugel and brisket on the hot bar during Hanukkah - they seem to be making at least a little effort!

They never responded on FB but I just called, and they said yes, they have them! :)
