So tonight was the Kevin Smith Q&A I splurged on a ticket for during my last manic spree. As it turns out, it was being recorded. So keep an eye on Epix for the Kevin Smith Q&A recorded in Austin! There was a somewhat annoying couple of takes of "okay everyone go apeshit so we can shoot a high energy opening sequence" bit and I found out that the magnetic clasp on my 8g bracelet is not equal to the rigors of waving my hands in the air.
Not gonna talk much about the show itself since it was recorded for broadcast. It was enjoyable, even if I have apparently granted Epix the rights to use my likeness throughout the universe (the sign actually said that). It was interesting hearing Kevin Smith talking about the arc his creative career has taken. Also I got a free KEVIN SMITH BURN IN HELL towel.
Getting home sucked just a little. Capital Metro's labeling of stops for the Night Owl buses sucks, the posted schedules are crap, and the web map isn't very clear. It took about an hour and a half to get on a bus home. But once I got on it, it was quick.
Laptop still dead, of course, and the desktop was really slow to start, which is worrying.
