Just got a phone call from the Adult Protective Services caseworker that was basically "You're not our problem".

Then a PM from sithwitch13 that basically translates to she's awesome and has supernatural timing.

Today's A SOFTER WORLD made me cry big wet snotty tears.

And it is the anniversary of the first appearance of the Master (unless @DalekThay is wrong).

Tried calling a Section 8 locator, closed for the holiday.

Totally no problem about your using my helpful suggestions however works for you, including BURNING THEM IN EFFIGY. Possibly-helpful suggestions: getting back in touch with your HACA caseworker; retrying the Section 8 service and seeing if there are any others, including ones you could contact online; exploring how much new-apartment-hunting you can do online to minimize phonecall!ickiness (you may be able to use Teh Intarwebz to get a beginning list of Section-8-friendly places without having to do any phonecalling, and it is possible that finding potential places to live may make the packing!suck lessen, if you know that you are packing to go TO someplace rather than just to leave someplace).

The HACA caseworker's given me all the info she has, and she recommended sticking with just one apartment locator since they are all working from the same database anyway. Last time I was looking at apartment listings and making contact without a locator, none of them took section 8, and if there is a list of complexes that do that are open to the public, I've never seen it.
