A long-term close friendship breaking up is, well, a breakup. I'll be posting about this at length (well, ranting and pissing and moaning and venting) on my LJ/IJ/JF in a few days under flock, but right now I have excellent company and a few days of much-needed relaxation and enjoyment.

Oh, yeah, I hear that one. If your misery would love company in a few days, I'll be glad to share--- and if not, know that I am a fully understanding listener in re: platonic breakups still = breakups. In the meantime, enjoy the company and the relaxation--- you both need and deserve it!

Why yes, yes it is. Sometimes I think it can be *more* damaging, but that's my own bias showing there. But I'll be happy to listen, etc, when you need it. Said company has been why I've mostly not poked at you in a while via aim, honestly. You need to enjoy the in-person people, before you enjoy the internets people.
