I just tried calling 1-800-SUICIDE. They routed me to the voicemail of a closed United Way office in Houston.

I don't have the spoons to try any more numbers. I'm so tired of getting rerouted, hung up on, sent to voice mail, stuck in automated menu trees of doom... being phone-phobic to start with doesn't help.

I'm trying. I am. But I'm running out of can.
